Medical Screening

Wellness Rediscovery will carry out nurse led wellness screenings as per Minerva requirements. Wellness Rediscovery will avail static wellness screening sites as well as mobile teams to access Minerva clients at their workplace. The costs outlined below are inclusive of health education given to members/clients by our highly trained nurses during screening and the subsequent member reports generated for the members. The screening program is the gateway for at risk members into the various intervention programs at Wellness Rediscovery. Of note is that Wellness Rediscovery will input all health risk data into its unique health risk management system for analysis and onward data transmission to MINERVA. This platform will enable tracking of members at risk to the fund and ascertaining their progress over time

Wellness rediscovery intends to provide Point of Care tests to Minerva members/clients in need of gold standard diagnostic and follow up tests including HBA1C and Lipid Profiling. Providing these tests at the point of care and will save the fund from high laboratory costs in the long term and improve care of at risk patients.

The orthopaedic rehabilitation programme is focused on providing time limited, patient centred, outcomes based intervention early in the recovery process; thereby ensuring that all medical, physical and psychosocial needs are addressed. The holistic and interdisciplinary programme includes both individual and group sessions. Therapy and other interventions by the interdisciplinary team, are structured in accordance with the needs identified in the initial internationally recognised assessments, which measure functioning across all functional areas. Appropriate referrals are made after discharge and resources are provided. A follow-up assessment will be arranged to ensure maintenance of improved health status

• Newly diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes
• Known Diabetic type 2 with B/S > 11.0mmol/l
• Known Diabetic no HBA1C done in last 12 months

• BMI – Obese range, with family History of Diabetes/CVD or with pre-existing comorbidity
• History of Diabetes/HPT with no documented lipid profile
• History of previous treatment or current treatment with statins and no lipid profile in last 6 months.

The Wellness Lab will in future if Minerva requires offer point of care tumour markers for cancers that include Colon cancer, Prostate cancer, Breast cancer etc. at much lower than laboratory prices for screening and treatment follow up. ded.
